Book early — especially for peak season
VIP guides book up fast, especially during summer, spring break, and the holiday season. We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance. For peak dates like Thanksgiving week or Christmas, book 3–4 months out.
Make a priority ride list
Before your tour, write down the 5–10 attractions your family absolutely cannot miss. Your guide will build the itinerary around these must-dos and fill in the rest with hidden gems and insider picks.
Book dining reservations in advance
Popular Disney restaurants book up 60 days in advance. Your Magic VIP Tours guide can advise on the best options for your family, but you'll want to secure reservations before your tour date. We can help coordinate timing.
Wear comfortable shoes — seriously
You'll walk 8–12 miles on a full park day. Even with a VIP guide, you're on your feet all day. Broken-in sneakers or walking shoes are essential. Avoid new shoes on tour day.
Arrive at park opening
Your guide will meet you at the park entrance at rope drop. The first 90 minutes of the day are the least crowded — your guide knows exactly how to maximize this window for your family.
Bring cash for tips and small purchases
Plan to tip your guide at the end of the day ($20–$30 per hour is standard — see our tipping guide). Also bring cash for any impulse purchases, as some vendors are cash-only.
Tell your guide about any special needs or concerns

Charge your phone the night before
You'll want a full battery for photos, the My Disney Experience app, and staying in touch with your guide. Consider bringing a portable charger for long days.
